About Morzine Ski Resort

Morzine is a traditional and yet lively resort boasting the largest ski area at 650 km. Situated just an hour from Geneva, Morzine is a great resort for families.

Morzine lies in the heart of the massive Portes du Soleil ski region of the French Savoie Alps, half way between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. The Portes du Soleil area links together a total of 12 resorts to provide an enormous 650 km of skiing and therefore is suitable for all mixed ability groups. Avoriaz and Les Gets are the nearest linked resorts with Avoriaz set high above Morzine, at 1800m. During a seven-day holiday, it is possible to ski in a different area on every day.

Morzine itself is a picturesque old-style Savoyard town with an unspoilt town centre, which has retained much of its character, charm and strong French flavour with excellent facilities for après ski. The town offers a decent selection of shops and restaurants (over 30) and a good choice of non-skiing activities.
