Prices Include: UK Flights | Transfers | Accommodation  LES GETS - Situated on the edge of this family friendly resort, with a truly incredible selection of pistes for all standards of skiers, chalet Le Raccard is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre of the village and a 2 minute drive.
The chalet has uninterrupted views overlooking the mountains and pistes, and is set in its own grounds with large parking space - enough for two cars, with additional parking on the road if needed.
Chalet Le Raccard is a traditional chalet, on the sunny side of the slopes, which was beautifully restored in 2006 to a high standard, with fully timber clad interiors and traditional pine furniture throughout. |
Accommodation: | The chalet which is family friendly sleeps 10 - 12 comfortably (but can sleep 2 more if required).
On the ground floor entrance is a conveniently located large ski locker.
The doors then open onto the ground floor where a laundry / drying room will take care of all your ski kit. This room also doubles as a laundry room with sink, washing machine and drying machine.
The Ground floor also has a fantastic games room with TV/DVD player and sprawling sofa and a good selection of games and DVD’S for all ages. The sofa pulls out into a double bed to give extra bed spaces if necessary.
This in turn leads through to a double Bunk Room (ie. 4 bed spaces) with its own en suite bathroom
The Living Area (on the first floor) can either be reached internally from the Ground Floor Lobby or directly from a flight of external steps which connect to the huge south and west facing Balcony that surrounds the Chalet.
The first floor itself provides the majority of the living area that you will need. It consists of an open plan, traditionally timber clad layout, comprising living area with ample comfy sofas, a log burning woodburner and sliding doors on to the balcony, a beautiful timber clad kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, cooker, tall fridge\freezer, microwave, food processor and plenty of kitchen utensils, and dining area, with extendable pine table which seats 10 comfortably and which can be pulled out to seat more if necessary. On the first floor there is also a shower/WC.
The second floor is full of cosy wooden character with wooden furniture to match.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are mirror images of each other, both with double beds and both with stunning views from their windows.
Second floor bedroom 3 has twin beds with a view of the hill behind.
The second floor bathroom is similarly clad in timber and has a large bath for a well deserved soak, and shower attatchment. All the bathrooms have heated towel rails and the chalet is electrically heated throughout.
There is ample hot water in the Chalet with double the volume that was recommended by the architect. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | The chalet is fully catered and all meals are prepared by our chef assisted by 2 chalet hosts.
Breakfast typically consists of porridge and a choice of cereals, freshly baked bread, toast, pain au chocolat and croissants, jams and preserves, eggs, sausages, bacon and tomatoes, fruit, yoghurts and a selection of teas, freshly filtered coffee and a choice of fruit juice. Breakfast is cooked to order for each guest. Cooked breakfast is available on 6 mornings; Wednesday is the staff day off and so a cold buffet will be laid out for you.
Afternoon tea is provided daily with a selection of home made cakes and pastries, served with a selection of teas, freshly filtered coffee and hot chocolate.
A 4-course dinner will be served on 6 evenings to the adults and will be served with complimentary local bottled wines. All the meals are hearty and use fresh local ingredients. The food is a fusion of traditional Savoyarde with a modern European twist.
A typical evening menu would be:
• Caramelised onion, goats cheese and fig tart • Coq au Vin with rock salt roasted potatoes, honey roasted carrots and mange tout • Pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding • A selection of local cheese • Freshly filtered coffee and mints.
Children are served with their own 2-course high tea and a typical menu would be:
• Home made shepherds pie served with carrots, sweetcorn and broccoli • Chocolate brownies and ice cream
We also offer unlimited wine and beer packages, which are available from 4pm until midnight every day for an additional supplement. Additionally we offer packed lunches or restaurant packages – all of which make it easier for the group to budget for their holiday. Please call for more details. |
