Catering: | ::back to top | | Dining at Chalet Châtelet is an event in itself! Pascal, the chalet owner and host, was born in Lyon, which he insists is "the cradle of French gastronomy", and he is just as passionate about food and wine as he is about the environment. Suzie, Pascals wife, enjoys creating tasty gourmet dishes, which seem to suit Pascal just fine! We source the best local, organic and seasonal ingredients.
We provide a hearty breakfast to set you up for an active day on the slopes and we bake great teatime cakes and biscuits for you to enjoy when you return in the afternoon and then we serve a mouthwatering, wholesome four-course evening meal (6 evenings). In Pascal's words: "Dinner is much more than a meal, it is an occasion, a time to change the rhythm of the hectic day and to relax in a convivial environment".
Carefully selected wines for the discerning palate complement dinner and we are delighted that we are increasingly able to find excellent organic wines. |

We are equidistant from Châtel, Morzine and Lake Geneva, situated on the edge of an authentic and very pretty mountain village in the Vallée d'Abondance on the road that connects the two great valleys of the whole Portes du Soleil ski area, so we are in ideal position to ferry you around so you can take the best advantage of the whole area.
The village is known locally as ‘Bonnevaux, la discrète’ because it is so close to everything and yet hidden away in the mountains, just a few minutes away from the bustling tourist town of Abondance. As well as the big resorts, there are several local slopes that give you the luxury of quiet pistes away from the crowds for a great days skiing. Our family ski area of Drouzin le Mont is ideal for beginners and the best way to encourage confidence in children, but also a fantastic warm up or relaxing day for a skier of any level. Whatever you choose, we are more than happy to show you around or inform you about snow conditions, pistes and great lunchtime restaurants. |
