This newly renovated ancient farmhouse, close to the white rushing waters of the River Dranse in St Jean d'Aulps, boasts modern amenities in a sympathetically restored Savoyard farmhouse.
It is 5 minutes walk to the centre of this popular village which has a range of facilities including shops, pharmacy, bars and a choice of good restaurants. A 10 minute minibus ride to the main Portes du Soleil ski area and only or it's a few minutes from the resort of La Grande Terche.
We see food as being a very important aspect of your catered chalet holiday and pride ourselves that our cuisine is always well received by our clients. |
Accommodation: | The chalet has 5 en-suite bedrooms on 2 floors, dining and sitting area with fire, drying room, ski store and outdoor hot tub. Some bedrooms have balcony access and most have superb views over the village. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | We have never met a customer that doesn't consider the food to be one of the most important aspects of a catered chalet holiday. Our menus are varied, using the best local ingredients and include the popular regional dishes "Raclette" and "Tartiflette".
A typical days menu would be:
- Cooked breakfast of egg and bacon with cereals, yogurts, bread and jams, fruit juice, tea and coffee
- Après-ski snack of home baked cake or quiche with tea, coffee or squash
- A four-course home cooked meal (3 main + cheeseboard) served on large oak refectory tables
If required, early children's tea comprising of for example home-made chicken gougons with fresh vegetable and potato wedges, home made chocolate mousse, choice of fruit drinks.
We are experienced in catering for a wide range of dietary needs, but please notify us at the time of booking. |
Additional Information: | ::back to top | Because our chalets are situated outside of the main resort we provide guests who use our airport transfer service a compimentary minibus service to the lifts.
Basically you put your ski boots on at the chalet, climb aboard and we drive you to the ski lift. No walking or carrying skies at all! Depending on the lift you wish to be taken to the journey normally never exceeds 15 minutes.
We then pick you up at a pre-arranged time and place, often a local bar.
If you should need to come back early in an emergency or if the weather is particularly bad then you will have been given our contact numbers. Phone and we will come and pick you up as soon as possible and of course we give emergencies absolute priority. Please be aware though we are not in a position to be able to offer a personal taxi service. During the day we may be shopping or skiing and not be able to pick you up and we also have other guests to work around. We also value some time to ourselves each day and ask you to appreciate this.
Guests who do not take up our airport transfer service but would like to be driven to the lifts daily can do so on payment of a modest fee, subject to availability. |
