The chalet is set in a fabulous elevated position with great views of the mountains. The lounge can comfortably accommodate 26 people and has a huge character inglenook fireplace which alone can seat 8.
The chalet was designed and built in the 1960s by a local architect - Morin - for his own use and therefore we believe that it is a unique property. It certainly has a quirky retro 70s feel which clients and friends seem to love. The chalet is situated in a picture postcard setting in an elevated position with grounds approaching 2/3 acre. There are fabulous views of the mountains on all sides.
This chalet is especially good for large groups and families as it has a massive lounge, large dining room and separate vaulted upstairs TV room with fabulous mountain views. Additionally there is a well equipped basement games room as well as a brand new hot tub.
There is plenty of secure parking - but as Chalet Morin is only a 20 minute walk away from Morzine and 250m to the free ski bus - cars are not necessary. The navette takes 3 minutes to the Super Morzine lift (for Avoriaz).
The chalet staff can organise airport transfers and local daily lift transfers if required. Ski, boot and board hire can be arranged direct to the chalet.

Accommodation: | Chalet Morin opens into a large hallway with plenty of storage space for shoes and coats. The chalet has 2 wings and 2 staircases which demonstrates exactly how very large and spacious the chalet is.
In the main wing is the lounge, which is vast at over 900 sq foot with lots of seating and an incredible inglenook fireplace that alone will seat 8 people. The large picture windows look out over the garden, which at 2500m2 is vast and private. The hot tub is accessed from the lounge and is set in a private and secluded spot with decking and outdoor lighting. For the comfort of guests the hot tub is serviced every 2 days and drained and cleaned weekly. The lounge also has Sky TV as well as a digital film and music library. Also on the ground floor is a fully equipped commercial kitchen, along with a large dining room and a bathroom with toilet & shower.
Stairs lead up from the dining room to the first floor which has 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, Bedrooms 6 and 7 are connected to form a family room sleeping up to 7 people.
Down from the hallway, there is a large basement area with boot and ski storage facilities, along with a fully equipped games room with a table tennis table, pool table, dart board, table football, Playstation 2 / Xbox games consoles and a widescreen TV with DVD player and video. In the hallway there is an additional newly fitted shower room.
The second wing is accessed from the hallway. In this wing there are 2 en-suite downstairs bedrooms. Up the spiral staircase is a large vaulted TV room with Sky TV, DVD, video and internet access. There are also 2 bedrooms sharing a shower room.
The Chalet has free wireless internet access throughout, with internet access terminals installed in the lounge and TV room.
The garden is massive at over 2/3 of an acre, with a large decked area and a Jacuzzi which will seat 8-9 people.

Catering: | ::back to top | | The chalet is fully catered and all meals are prepared by our chef assisted by 2 chalet hosts.
Breakfast typically consists of porridge and a choice of cereals, freshly baked bread, toast, pain au chocolat and croissants, jams and preserves, eggs, sausages, bacon and tomatoes, fruit, yoghurts and a selection of teas, freshly filtered coffee and a choice of fruit juice. Breakfast is cooked to order for each guest. Cooked breakfast is available on 6 mornings; Wednesday is the staff day off and so a cold buffet will be laid out for you.
Afternoon tea is provided daily with a selection of home made cakes and pastries, served with a selection of teas, freshly filtered coffee and hot chocolate.
A 4-course dinner will be served on 6 evenings to the adults and will be served with complimentary local bottled wines. All the meals are hearty and use fresh local ingredients. The food is a fusion of traditional Savoyarde with a modern European twist.
A typical evening menu would be:
Caramelised onion, goats cheese and fig tart
Coq au Vin with rock salt roasted potatoes, honey roasted carrots and mange tout
Pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding
A selection of local cheese
Freshly filtered coffee and mints.
Children are served with their own 2-course high tea and a typical menu would be:
Home made shepherds pie served with carrots, sweetcorn and broccoli
Chocolate brownies and ice cream
We also offer unlimited wine and beer packages, which are available from 4pm until midnight every day for an additional supplement. Additionally we offer packed lunches or restaurant packages all of which make it easier for the group to budget for their holiday. Please call for more details. |
